Liquor, $100K Clock Reported Stolen From Montclair's Pig and Prince

A valuable fixture along with $5,000 in alcohol was reported stolen from the recently shuttered Pig and Prince restaurant in Montclair last week, police said.

A worker said a clock worth $100,000 had been taken from the restaurant, which is  located in Lackawanna Plaza. The theft, which is still under investigation, was reported July 9. 

Devotees of Montclair's dynamic foodie scene were heartbroken when the popular restaurant unexpectedly closed June 8. The closing was announced just a few days prior, stunning fans of the restaurant's distinctive American-style cuisine and its decor, the re-purposed interior of the former Lackawanna train station. 

Items inside the restaurant have been gradually sold off in the last month since its closing, police said.
